As we begin to age, the amount of collagen and elastin our bodies naturally produce starts to wear down. The breakdown of these properties results in the skin losing its signature plump and youthful appearance. When the skin around the jaw begins to deflate and droop, jowls may begin to form and cause the entire face to look more tired, bloated, and more mature. Dr. Armstrong uses a series of strategically placed dermal fillers that not only adds volume back into your jowling areas but also lifts the skin for a chiseled and restored jawline contour. Dr. Armstrong may recommend combining a jowl lift with other skin-tightening procedures like RF microneedling and laser skin rejuvenation for ultimate results.

What Can I Expect During my
Jowl Lift Treatment?
Your jowl lift will be performed by Dr. Jennifer Armstrong in our state-of-the-art facility. Before your treatment begins, a topical anesthetic may be applied to your treatment areas. This is to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible throughout the entirety of your treatment. Once numb, Dr. Armstrong will begin carefully and strategically making a series of dermal filler injections along the lower mouth and jawline. The entire treatment process generally takes less than 30 minutes to complete.
What Can I Expect After my Jowl Lift?
Because your jowl lift is a minimally invasive procedure using dermal fillers, there is no formal downtime or recovery period associated with each treatment. Mild swelling, bruising, and tenderness around your treated areas are normal and typically subside on their own within a few days of treatment. Patients are able to see a dramatic change in their appearance immediately following their jowl lift treatment, with ultimate results becoming visible once all swelling subsides, about seven to 10 days following treatment. Dr. Armstrong and her team may recommend receiving regular touch-up treatments every 9 to 12 months to maintain your desired look.
