LASER GENESIS
Laser Genesis is a non-ablative Nd:YAG laser that utilizes heat to repair and rejuvenate the overall complexion of the skin. The heat penetrates the deeper layers of the skin to stimulate collagen production, renewing the skin to shrink pores, even out skin tone and texture, and increase the speed of cell turnover to make skin healthier, tighter, smoother, and more youthful-looking. What is Laser Genesis?
Laser Genesis can safely treat all skin types. Although providers primarily use Laser Genesis on the face, it can treat any part of the body, including the neck and chest. Its non-aggressive approach is less likely to promote hyperpigmentation in patients with dark skin, unlike other skin resurfacing lasers. Individual treatments produce subtle results, but the overall effect of a series of sessions can produce a dramatic transformation because the results are cumulative.

What Can I Expect During my laser genesis Treatment?
A Laser Genesis procedure begins with a thorough cleansing. Your skin must be free of any makeup, oil, and dirt. While non-ablative lasers like Laser Genesis do not require any topical anesthetic, numbing cream is available to ensure more patient comfort. You will also be given protective eyewear before the procedure.
Laser Genesis treatments are very well tolerated by patients. In the hands of Dr. Jennifer Armstrong and her team of experts, a Laser Genesis treatment is almost like therapy. The handheld device, which is placed about half an inch above your skin will move back and forth on the treatment area to deliver a warm, gentle, and tingling sensation. Treatment time is approximately 30-60 minutes, depending on the size of the treatment area.
What Can I Expect After my laser genesis Treatment?
There is no downtime associated with a Laser Genesis procedure. You may notice a slight redness and minor swelling immediately after treatment which should resolve within a few hours. You can resume your normal activities immediately after treatment. Avoid sun exposure and use a broad-spectrum (UVA/UVB) sunscreen.
You will see more radiant, healthier-looking skin, along with reduced pores, facial redness, and fine lines a few days after your treatment or once your skin heals from the procedure. If you have acne, you’ll notice reduced inflammation, less congestion, and a decreased amount of active cysts. You’ll leave each session looking refreshed. Since a Laser Genesis treatment stimulates collagen production, you may experience results that improve over time.
