What is Secret RF?
Secret RF takes microneedling to the next level as it combines the microneedling treatment with fractional radiofrequency (RF) energy to boost the rejuvenation process. Secret RF is a breakthrough advancement in microneedling technology that dramatically enhances microneedling results with no additional downtime. It uses 25 or 64 perfectly spaced, gold tip needles that precisely deliver energy at varying depths below the skin. The direct thermal heating of the dermis results in new collagen production and subsequent dermal thickening, allowing for optimal results without damaging the skin’s outer layers. It is a great treatment option for addressing aging skin, photodamage, fine lines and wrinkles on the face and neck, scars, acne scars, skin quality, and stretch marks.

What Can I Expect During my secret rf Treatment?
Secret RF is an easy and safe procedure that Dr. Armstrong can perform in as little as 15 minutes, depending on your skin condition and the size of the treatment area. Topical anesthetics, like lidocaine, will be applied at least 30 minutes before the procedure to help ensure patient comfort. Dr. Armstrong will use a pen-like device with adjustable needles to create micro-injuries in a uniform pattern in the skin while delivering targeted fractional RF energy beneath it. You will feel a mild heating sensation and a slight pressure in the treatment area.
What Can I Expect After my secret rf Treatment?
Even though Secret RF is a more advanced treatment, it has less downtime compared to microneedling because the heat seals any bleeding from the micro-injuries. You will feel warm and look like you have a mild sunburn. This can last for a few minutes to a few hours. Any minor redness or swelling will subside within 12-24 hours. You may resume your normal activities after your treatment. You must refrain from wearing make-up for several hours and applying acid or retinol products for a few days. Always wear sun protection.
