What Can I Expect During my Laser
Skin Resurfacing Treatment?
Your laser skin resurfacing treatments will be performed by Dr. Jennifer Armstrong in our state-of-the-art facility. Before your treatment begins, a topical anesthetic may be applied to your treatment area, typically the entirety of the face. Once numb, Dr. Armstrong will begin applying short, quick bursts of laser technology along the skin. Most patients find the feeling of the laser similar to the sensation of a rubber band being snapped against the skin. Most treatment sessions typically take one to two hours to complete.
What Can I Expect After my Laser
Skin Resurfacing Treatment?
While some patients report feeling mild discomfort throughout their treatments, most patients report having little to no discomfort following their treatment. Itching, redness, and tenderness following your laser skin resurfacing treatment are normal and typically resolve on their own within a few days of treatment. Lighter and moderate laser skin resurfacing treatment sessions may only cause redness and mild flaking of the skin for three to five days, whereas deeper treatments may require up to two weeks for the skin to completely heal. Dr. Armstrong and her team recommend using medical-grade skincare products to soothe your skin throughout your recovery period and enhance the results of your treatment.
