What is truSculpt® ID?
Trusculpt ID is a handheld device that uses slow heat in cycles to make it a comfortable and relatively painless process. It penetrates into the subcutaneous layer of fat to damage fat cells while leaving surrounding skin and tissue unharmed.
The radiofrequency waves not only reduce fat cells but stimulate new collagen and elastin production to leave the skin looking smoother and tighter.

What Can I Expect During my trusculpt ID Treatment?
TruSculpt ID delivers uniform waves of radiofrequency energy to target fat between the skin and muscle with one 15-minute appointment. The area should be free from makeup, lotion, and other topical ointments. Dr. Jennifer Armstrong may also recommend shaving or waxing the site before the treatment. Before the procedure, a lotion is applied to the area to protect the skin when the device is used. Pain and discomfort during the process are minimal and often compared to the feeling of a hot stone massage or a tingling sensation. The procedure typically takes about 15-20 minutes on average.
What Can I Expect After my trusculpt ID Treatment?
TruSculpt ID is a non-invasive procedure that requires little to no downtime after treatment, and patients can immediately return to normal daily activities. Side effects are not common, but some patients may experience swelling or redness that should subside within one to two days. Dr. Armstrong may recommend an aftercare gel or lotion, but there are no particular restrictions or requirements for care. TruSculpt ID is a process that takes several months for full results to appear.
Once the fat cells are dead, the body will naturally dispose of them, leaving behind a smoother shape. The results are permanent; once the fat cells are dead, they will not regenerate, but it is essential to continue with diet, exercise, and a healthy lifestyle to maintain your desired shape. CO2 laser treatments will require some downtime. In addition to feeling warmness which resembles a mild sunburn, you can expect your skin to scab and peel over the next 3-4 days after your treatment. Be sure to limit sun exposure and to always apply broad-spectrum sunscreen.
Am I a Good Candidate for trusculpt id?
The ideal candidate maintains a healthy lifestyle with a stable body weight, is a non-smoker, and has no severe medical conditions. There are several disqualifying conditions, including:
