As a part of the Juvederm® family, Voluma™ is also a hyaluronic acid-based dermal filler. Fillers like Voluma™ simply replace the hyaluronic acid we’re missing to enhance our natural features and reduce signs of aging. What Can I Expect During my
Voluma Treatment?
Your Voluma™ treatment will be performed by Dr. Jennifer Armstrong in our state-of-the-art facility. Before your Voluma™ injections begin, a topical anesthetic may be applied to your treatment area. This is to ensure you remain as comfortable as possible throughout your treatment. Once numb, Dr. Armstrong will begin carefully and strategically make a series of Voluma™ injections into your desired treatment area, typically around the lower and mid-face. The entire treatment process generally takes less than 30 minutes to complete.
What Can I Expect After my
Voluma Treatment?
Like Juvederm®, Voluma™ is a minimally invasive injectable treatment that does not require any downtime or recovery period. While mild swelling, redness, and bruising are all normal, these side effects do subside on their own within a few days of treatment. Patients typically report returning to work and other daily activities immediately following treatment. The results of your Voluma™ treatment will be visible immediately, with ultimate results becoming visible about a week or two later once all swelling subsides. Voluma™ is one of the only dermal fillers to last up to two years, but Dr. Armstrong may recommend regular treatments every 12 to 18 months to maintain your desired look.
